Climate change continues to challenge agricultural productivity across Adamawa State, particularly for smallholder farmers. To address this, 100 youths in Yola North Local Government Area were trained in climate-smart agriculture with a focus on effective use of knapsack sprayers.
The training combined practical field demonstrations with modern agricultural techniques, enabling participants to support farmers with efficient, climate-resilient farming practices. The youths were prepared to serve as community-based agricultural extension officers.
This initiative not only strengthened local agricultural systems but also created meaningful livelihood opportunities for young people, empowering them as agents of change within their communities.
